Mobile Search & Advertising Solution Provider JumpTap Receives Strategic Investment

Based in Cambridge, mobile search and advertising solution provider JumpTap Inc. announced to have secured strategic investment from WPP (NASDAQ: WPPGY), a communication service group, only a few months after its Series C financing in October 2006, led by Valhalla Partners with participation from existing investors, General Catalyst Partners, BCE Capital, and Redpoint Ventures.
Since its inception in 2004, JumpTap has been providing wireless carriers with an end-to-end, carrier-branded mobile search solution that drives third-party revenue for mobile operators. By means of its Advertising Suite and Mobile Search Index, ad network operators are able to provide performance based ad and search services to advertisers.
Currently JumpTap works with eight mobile operators in the US and Europe, as well as advertising networks and vertical content providers, to roll-out these services to mobile subscribers.
